PROGRAMS | HEALTH SCIENCE

MEDICAL OFFICE

In this pre-professional program, students will not only learn basic nursing and medical office skills, but will also have the option to learn sign language and Spanish medical translation to enhance their career pathways!

The following careers will be targeted throughout the program: hospital nursing, medical assistant, medical transcriptionist, medical receptionist, coding/billing and insurance specialists, medical secretary, medical translation and interpreting.

Field trips, clinical experiences and work-based learning experiences are available to qualified students.  Upon graduation, students can work in entry-level positions and/or pursue post-secondary education.

As a fourth generation Greek- American, I still read, write and speak Greek!  In addition, I studied German for nine years and speak a little Spanish.  My family consists of my wonderful husband, my two children, and a spoiled Siamese cat.  In my free time, I enjoy fiction writing and reading.
