The Role of Counseling in the Career & Technology Center

The School Counselor’s role in the school is to provide each student the opportunity to develop to their maximum potential. They will:

1. Provide services and resources to students as individuals.

2. Maintain relationships between the school and community.

3. Provide services for and maintain relationships with school staff.

4. Provide services and resources to students in groups.

5. Serve as a student advocate.

6. Accept personal responsibility.

7. Accept professional responsibility.

8. Support Pennsylvania Standards and Curriculum initiatives.

9. Contribute to the overall well being of the school.
