SkillsUSA is a national organization of students, teachers, and industry representatives who are working together to prepare students for careers in technical, skilled, and service occupations.
SkillsUSA provides quality education experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship, and character development. It builds and reinforces self-confidence, work attitudes, and communications skills. It emphasizes total quality at work, high ethical standards, superior work skills, lifelong education, and pride in the dignity of work. SkillsUSA also promotes understanding of the free-enterprise system and involvement in community service.

We follow the SkillsUSA Program of Work. Every year we raise money for non-profit organizations, such as MADD, Greater Berks Food Bank, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Salvation Army, Opportunity House, nursing homes in the Reading area, Operation Enduring Freedom in the Berks County area, and the Veterans Association. We also do community service with the Berks County Parks. We are a very busy SkillsUSA Chapter. Our goal is to get as many students involved in community fundraising and activities to help them become active members of our society.
