Hats, Phones and Food in School
We have recently had discussions with students and staff about the rules regarding hats, phones, and food in the school building.
Students are not permitted to use cell phones in the classroom and lab areas during the school day.
In the hallways, cafeteria, and other common areas, students may wear hats and use their phones, but may not make or accept phone calls. If students need to make a phone call, they must go to the office. If students are lingering in the hallway because they are socializing or using their phones, they will be reminded to get to class.
What is allowed:
• Hats
• Beanies (winter caps)
• Doo-rags
What is not allowed:
• Hoods
We have met with all students to discuss the new expectations for behavior during the school day.
