In this role, you’ll teach high school students the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the exciting world of fashion. Inspire creativity and innovation as you guide students through:
● The art of fashion design: sewing, textiles, and apparel construction
● Marketing and management: strategies for the fashion industry
● Garment creation and alteration: from textiles to finished products
● Global and domestic fashion trends: understanding market demands
● Consumer research and campaigns: designing for profitability
Who We’re Looking For:
We seek a dynamic individual who is:
● Certified or Ready to Become Certified: Hold or be eligible for a Teacher Instructional Certification in Family & Consumer Sciences 5600, a CTE Certification in Textile Production & Fabrication 2071, or meet the requirements to obtain certification.
● Experienced in Fashion: Candidates without certification must demonstrate at least 4 years of professional trade experience in apparel and textile marketing, production, and design.
● Tech-Savvy and Creative: Familiarity with computer applications and digital tools.
● Inspiring and Supportive: Able to connect with young people and foster their growth.
● Cleared and Ready to Work: Able to meet PDE-related Act 34, Act 151, and FBI clearance requirements, as well as pass a physical and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Bilingual in English and Spanish
● Previous teaching or supervisory experience

Public Safety & Security (CIP 43.9999)
Opening for the 2025 – 2026 School Year
Full-time (187 Days); Family Benefits; State Pension (PSERS)
An instructional program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills required to perform entry-level duties in law enforcement, firefighting, EMT and other safety services. This program stresses the techniques, methods and procedures peculiar to the areas of criminal justice and fire protection especially in emergency and disaster situations. Physical development and self-confidence skills are emphasized due to the nature of the specific occupation(s).
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 4 years’ trade experience as a Police Officer or EMT or Firefighter including:
- Criminal Justice System
- Law Enforcement & Patrol Duties
- Private Security Management
- Corrections – Adult & Juvenile Systems
- Homeland Security
- Communications & Incident Command System
- Firefighting
- Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
• Good human relations and written/verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to relate well with young people in a supportive role.
• Working knowledge of computer applications.
• Eligible to obtain PDE-related Act 34, Act 151 and FBI clearances.
• Must pass a physical and drug test.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
• Prior teaching and/or supervisory experience preferred, but not required.

Administrative Assistant for Attendance
Full-time (190 days), Health Benefits, State Pension (PSERS)
The Administrative Assistant for Attendance shall be responsible for coordinating and maintaining records of student attendance. He/She will be responsible for communicating directly with students, sponsoring district personnel, and parents/guardians of students regarding attendance issues.
Specific Qualifications:
• Possess High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of three (3) years of secretarial experience or an Associate’s Degree in an Administrative Assistant program
• Accurate record keeping and organizational skills
• Windows file management skills required
• Microsoft Office software skills required
• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal/written communications
• Ability to multi task essential
• Bilingual language skills (English/Spanish) desired, but not required

Specific Requirements:
Substitute teachers needed for all 31 program areas supported by the Center. Ideal candidates may be certified secondary education teachers, retired CTE teachers and classroom aides, or individuals with extensive work experience who can demonstrate the capacity to support student skill attainment within the Center’s programs (see our website for program listing).
