PA Safety Inspection Courses
RMCTC is holding five (5) separate PA Safety Inspection Courses from September 2022 to May 2023. Each safety inspection course consists of four evening classes (5:30 pm – 9:30 pm).
PA Safety Inspection Course Fee: $190
The following additional fees will be applied for each category tested:
$40 Category 1 (Passenger cars/trucks 17,000 lbs or less/trailers 10,000 lbs or less)
$40 Category 2 Motorcycles (must hold a valid Motorcycle license)
$80 Category 3 (Buses/trucks over 17,000 lbs/trailers over 10,000 lbs)
In order to be registered for the course, payment must be made in full and a completed MV-409 (available for download below) must be received prior to the first night of class. Visit PennDOT’s website to view a copy of Publication 45 Vehicle Equipment and Inspection Regulations Manual. The printed manual will be provided to you on the first night of class.

RMCTC is also holding five (5) separate PA Emissions Courses from October 2022 to May 2023. Each emissions course consists of two evening classes (5:30-9:30 pm).
PA Safety Emissions Course Fee: $80
The following additional fees will be applied for each category tested:
An additional fee of $39.99 for study materials and exams must be paid to PennDOT via their website, www.patrainingportal.com, a minimum of 3 days prior to the beginning of class.
