I was born and raised in Berks County and currently reside in Leesport with my husband and son. I love working with the staff and students at RMCTC. My role as Literacy Coach allows me to assist teachers with literacy implementation in their program areas, curriculum development, and new teacher induction. I facilitate a Reading Program and have a small library available to all students.

I have worked for various food service establishments and ran a successful catering business. I started my career in education as an Instructional Assistant in the Culinary Arts program at Berks Career and Technology Center. I served as the Baking and Pastry Arts instructor at Reading Muhlenberg CTC for 11 years before transitioning to Literacy Coach in 2010.

Math Integration Specialist – Mrs. Lisa Hughes
I began my career as an accountant and returned to college to obtain my mathematics teaching certification in 2005. I taught briefly at Governor Mifflin High School and also at Oley Valley School District before accepting a Learning Resource-Math position at RMCTC in 2007. In 2008, I became the Math Integration Specialist at RMCTC. I have always wanted to teach my entire life. Reading Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center has been the answer to my teaching aspirations; it allows me to take academic math and apply it to the students’ program of study.
